Tramway: 0054.0369

Work on the Tramway is being pushed at a rapid rate.  There are 250 men at work on the line grading, bridge building, etc., and ties are being delivered all along the line.  The contractors expect to complete the road and deliver it to the Tramway company by May 1.

Fred Zeiber of the Trail Creek Tramway force, who used to be street commissioner of Tacoma, has just received the news that all his furniture stored in the house of his brother-in-law, Colin McIntosh, in Tacoma, has been destroyed by fire, along with Mr. McIntosh’s $6,000 house.
