William Fernie and Coal Co.: 0054.0010

            Mr. William Fernie, of Fort Steele, who has been so long associated with the Crow’s Nest Pass coal fields was one of the passengers from Fort Steele which arrived by the Duchess last night.  He proceeded by No. 2 this afternoon to Montreal where he has gone on business in connection with the Kootenay Coal Co. who will work part of these coal fields.  As soon as ever the railway is constructed the company will be in a position to ship coal to all parts.
