Conklin & Garrett: 0050.0818

The recent experience which the local Gyro Club had with the Conklin & Garrett All-Canadian Shows Company did not lessen in any way the reputation which this company has rightfully earned for fair dealing.

Coming to Cranbrook as they did, having met with weather conditions which had caused them to lose heavily of late, many would expect that they might look for a little easing up of their contract obligations.  In this, however, the local club were agreeably disappointed, Manager Conklin more or less going out of his way to give the boys every advantage that would work in their financial benefit, and although losing heavily themselves in coming to Cranbrook the money coming to the boys for the right to show at the fair was paid over cheerfully as though they were making a million dollars, instead of losing some two thousand.

0050.0818: Conklin & Garrett

Conklin & Garrett All-Canadian Shows Company made good their deal with the Cranbrook Gyro Club, even though they lost out on thousands of dollars due to weather conditions.
