Despite general adverse conditions during the past summer the
Was Good Season. – Mr. Ward has filed his report with the city. It shows that 1093 tenting tickets were issued which brought in $554.00. Day parking fees amounted to $40.50. There were 904 cabin tickets issued, with a revenue of $1,145.50. The total receipts amounted to $1,740.00. It will be noticed that the cabins provided the best paying feature, and more could have been rented had they been available. Many nights all were rented and people were turned away. The Gyro swimming pool proved an added attraction for the tourists. Its immediate proximity to the park and the fact that the use of it was free offered two strong drawing features. In several cases tourists remained over for an extra day or so in order that their children and themselves might take full advantage of it.
The fact that the park was well conducted and offered good accommodation was passed along by the travelers, and
