McQuaid Retirement: 0050.0661

STAFF REMEMBER RETIRING MANAGER. –

A very pleasing function took place at the local branch of the Canadian Bank of Commerce at the close of business on Tuesday.  The staff gathered in the manager’s office, where Mr. J.M. Baird, the new manager, on behalf of past and present members of the staff, presented Mr. J.H. McQuaid, the retiring manager, with a handsome desk set, suitably engraved, as a memento of his association with the staff of the Cranbrook branch during the past ten years.  Mr. McQuaid terminated his active connection with the Canadian Bank of Commerce at the close of business, September 30th, after fifty-five years of honourable service.
