George Alexander Dies: 0050.0592

PROVINCIAL NOTES. –

            George Alexander, pioneer Kootenay capitalist, died in England about ten days ago.  He was the first man to undertake the reclamation of the Kootenay flats near Creston, was interested in the sampling works at Rosebery, which for many years was used to test the ores of the Slocan, and was interested in many other projects.  He made his home at Kaslo while in this country.
