NELSON MAN NEW DISTRICT GYRO GOVERNOR – E.H. Hanley Elected Governor of Gyro International for District No. 8 At Calgary Meet. – Calgary, June 20. –

            E.H. Hanley of Nelson was elected District Governor of District No. 8, Gyro International, at the district convention here on Saturday.  Clare Arnott, Calgary, was selected lieutenant-governor.  The convention was a success from every standpoint.  At the business sessions speakers from various clubs in the district told of the various activities and several resolutions to be submitted to the international convention in Winnipeg next week were framed.

            Upon invitation from the Lethbridge club, the convention next year will be held at that point.  According to a resolution passed, the district convention hereafter must be held not less than two months prior to the International gathering.  With an average of 87.42 per cent the Calgary club carried off the shield emblematic of the highest attendance in the contest between this city and Edmonton.
