0470.0010: Part of the 225th Battalion

The 225th Battalion was raised in B.C. with mobilization headquarters in Fernie, July 15th, 1916. The battalion sailed January 25th, 1917, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel J. MacKay, having a strength of twenty officers and four hundred and twenty-seven other ranks. In England the battalion was absorbed into the 1st Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded on September 15th, 1920.
