Cranbrook High School Girls Bugle Band

Organized in 1941, the Cranbrook High School Girls Bugle Band has become a Cranbrook institution. It won first prize as the best band in the 1951 and 1952 Pacific National Exhibition parade in Vancouver. In 1952, 1953 and 1954 the band was the winning band in the Calgary Stampede parade and was given permanent possession of the T. Eaton Trophy. The Girls Bugle Band held outdoor summer concerts in the mid 1950s at the Gyro Pool in Baker Park, They are still (2008) an active and vibrant Cranbrook organization.
