Tugboat Grant Hall and Barge

Tugboat "Grant Hall" and barge with rail car and a C.P.R. diesel engine lying on its side; March 5, 1956 at Proctor, B.C.; looking west. Tom Parkin added: Note that the front of this diesel unit is damaged and its cab filled with snow. It was lead locomotive of a train on the wqewst shore of Kootenay Lake which struck a snowslide which had covered the tracks and was forced downhill. CPR's "big hook" was involved in rescuing this equipment.
